Ocean Signal rescueME EPIRB1 Battery Change Service (LB8E). This is a Return-to-Base Service we have to perform as an Approved Ocean Signal Service Agent, due to the battery being housed inside the EPIRB alongside the PCB. Correct watertight sealing and testing must be carried out on the EPIRB before it is returned. NEW BATTERY EXPIRY DATE WILL BE SEPTEMBER 2036. Process as follows:

- We will then contact you with the address to send your EPIRB
- Upon receipt, your EPIRB will receive a full inspection
- Light Pen interrogation for unique HEX identification
- The Battery will be changed (LB8E) and the seals renewed
- Counters for run time, GPS Long Tests etc. will be reset
- Tests will then be carried out to check 406, 121.5, GPS and strobe functionality
- Light Pen programming to ensure the unique HEX ID is still programmed
- Water Test, to ensure the EPIRB does not leak with its new seals
- Your EPIRB is then returned by Registered Mail
