The SafeLink SOLO from Orolia Maritime (who manufacture both Kannad and McMurdo brands), is a MEOSAR compatible Personal Location Beacon (PLB) used on land and sea to provide dierect access to the world's Search and Rescue professionals via the COSPAS-SARSAT system, transmitting on the dedicated 406MHz frequency. The world's first multi-constellation PLB, the SOLO offers increased global detection coverage and precise location coordinates to accelerate the rescue process. The PLB has a unique ID, so the moment it is activated, the rescue services know it is you they are looking for. Typical applications include sailing, hiking, kayaking, diving, flying, lone working, expeditions and much more. TheSafeLink SOLO is built on the same chassis as the McMurdo Fastfind 220 PLB, but offers increased rubberised protection to suit any environment.
